John Verity Band

‘A veteran performer at the top of his game – the playing is immaculate and full of passion, as you would expect from one of the UK’s leading exponents of blues guitar’ John is perhaps still best known for his time in Argent from 1973 to 1976 after Russ Ballard recommended John as his replacement, noticing he would be a 'good fit' after seeing an early version of The John Verity Band supporting Argent whilst John was on the road promoting the first JV album. Previous to that he spent time working in the Bahamas and the US which culminated with prestige support slots for Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Mountain amongst others. He is touring with his new album ‘Blue to my Soul’ which is his 20th album. The band’s appearance at HRH Blues, Sheffield 02 last year is one of many at high profile venues where John is pleasing old friends and winning over many new fans. Miss this band at your peril!

Victoria Klewin & The TrueTones

The TrueTones are the sweet-spot where great things meet: where tradition meets with originality and retro nostalgia gets down and dirty with musical fusion. Originally conceived as a cross between vocal jazz and blue-eyed soul, the Bristol 7-piece is all that and more, gracefully merging genres and styles to create music that is as unique as it is engaging and accessible. Their live shows pack a punch with front-woman, songwriter and powerhouse vocalist Victoria Klewin at the helm. With their unique brand of catchy soul inspired tunes that also draw on elements of jazz and blues, VKTT have been making waves both locally and nationally. It's a very classy affair, oozing style and sultry retro vibes in a similar vein to contemporary artists such as Joss Stone, Alice Russell, Imelda May and Caro Emerald. The combination of flawless playing and powerful vocals has impressed at a number of prestigious shows, including the Bath International Festival and Marlborough Jazz Festival (where they were nominated for best newcomer).

Simon Peat & Joel White

Joel White is one of the UK's top singers and keyboard players. Joel and Simon perform as one of the county’s best duos playing Soul, blues, jazz and pop at some of Europe's top venues.  Simon spent his formative years in Paris but has been based in the UK for the past two years where, as well as playing in his own bands and with the top UK acts, he also runs his own jazz club (the One Eleven Club) and record label.  Joel  is dynamic, musical and entertaining in equal measure.  Since the age of 7 playing music has been a part of his life, starting with guitar then diversifying and adapting to becoming a multi-instrumentalist and accomplished songwriter.
