Hailing from the Rhondda Valley in South Wales, singer, songwriter, composer and sometime television presenter MATTHEW FREDERICK blends a childhood love of the early works of Elton John and Billy Joel with more recent influences including Ben Folds, John Grant and Bon Iver. SInce he released his debut EP Venus & Mars in 2012, Matthew has made a number of radio and television appearances, collaborating with Ed Sheeran and penning original music for Boys Aloud. Matthew has also supported jazz supremo Jamie Cullum, performed the Green Man Festival, The Hay Festival and Brecon Jazz. He can also be seen performing regularly with Jodie Marie who is a firm Aberjazz favourite. Jodie Marie is a Welsh singer-songwriter who was signed to Decca Records in 2010. Jodie's 2012 debut album Mountain Echo was described by The Guardian as 'velvety and bittersweet' and The Independent as 'having a light-blues and jazz-folk-edge recalling late-1960s singer-songwriters such as Carole King.

Moonshine Boulevard are a traditional Dixieland-style jazz band headed by Tudor Thomas, the veteran trombonist from the Tudor Rhythmn Kings, a long time favourite at Aberjazz. Tudor is joined by some of the best West Country Dixielanders to play freewheeling Southern standards in the tradition of Fats Waller and Kid Ory.

Made up of members; Tudor Thomas (trombone, vocals), Ron King (trumpet, vocals), Jeff Matthews (clarinet), Keith Hall (banjo, guitar, vocals), Peter Berry (double bass) and Mike Pearce (drums), Moonshine Boulevard have proven to bring audiences to their feet.

Matthew Hann was at Abjerazz a few years ago in the Point where he put on a very popular Beat Box and Pedal Loop workshop. He is back again by popular request and he suggested it would be fun if he did a short demo/performance in Ffwrn.
