Finger Picking Guitar workshop

Accoustic guitar workshop including fingerstyle and improvisaton for intermediate and advanced level

The format will depend on the people who attend. Adam Palma is a guitar teacher at the university of Salford and will split the workshop into 3 parts:-

• Basics (chords, techniques)
• How to arrange melody in fingerpicking style
• Improvisation

African Drum/Dance Workshop

African Drumming and Dancing
With Emmanuel Okuni Annang - Master Drummer from Ghana

Learn how to hold a djembe and the different ways of beating the drum.
Play rhythm games and learn traditional Ghanaian rhythms culminating in group playing and dance workshop.

Fun for all ages.

Wonderbrass Workshop

This will focus on group playing, head arrangements (non-notated) and simple modal approaches to improvisation. Depending on who comes and what people want they may concentrate on the rhythm section with leaders if needed. At least one arrangement will be created in the workshop and may be recorded.

Eddie Martin

Harmonica workshop

Anyone who wants to learn blues harmonica, from complete beginners to those who have played a little, are welcome to learn a “train blues” with internationally-renowned harmonica player Eddie Martin.

If you have your own harmonica it has to be in the key of "C" and be a 10 hole diatonic, if not then Eddie will sell you a Hohner harmonica at the very reasonable price of £7.

Organic

This will be a saxophone master class for intermediate and advanced level. Bring your own instrument.
