Felix Gibbons’ Samba Workshop
6–8pm St Mary’s Church Hall, Fishguard £5.00

A warm welcome back to Felix who ran a workshop at last year’s festival. He lived and worked in Brazil for 11 years developing new percussion techniques to use in his playing and in his workshops, which he runs all over the world for Global Music Foundation. Doing everything from samba and salsa to bhangra and pop with everyone from Milton Nascimento to Peter Gabriel, his percussion workshops mainly concentrate on Afro-Brazilian rhythms, especially carnival rhythms from all over Brazil; so come and play with Felix whatever your age or ability. Those of you who attend the class can join Felix in the carnival procession. Bring your own conga or a bongo if you have one…and expect lots of fun.
